Just about anyone in the mineral collecting hobby is familiar with the mesmerizing and aptly named Selenite (or Gypsum) Roses. Despite their abundance in today's market, there are only a handful of Gypsum roses that are truly exceptional for their integrity and aesthetic presentations. This is one such piece, presenting eleven interconnecting and near-pristine spheres of bladed Selenite crystals (up to 6.9 centimeters in diameter) that climb upward in a wonderfully staggered column. Characteristically, each crystal is a sandy brown color that is sharply bordered by a thin, white ridge. This piece comes with a custom acrylic base.
