Willemite ps. Azurite with Mimetite on Dolomite

Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Oshikoto Region, Namibia

3.4 x 1.9 x 1.2 cm

Beneath a coating of white Dolomite, reside three baby blue, translucent Willemite crystals replacing Azurite. There are also some scattered yellow Mimetite crystals on this specimen. The find is labeled as coming from the 29th level and I have found no other literature to state otherwise. A great Pseudomorph from the second oxidation zone at Tsumeb. Specimen is ex. Erika Pohl-Stroher collection. Both photo credit and specimen from The Arkenstone, iRocks.
