Crystal ClassicsFeatured
Tucson, Arizona, USAA particularly fine, rich turquoise-blue to minty-green miniature of intergrown prismatic Azurite crystals, completely and faithfully pseudomorphed by Chrysocolla. From the find made at the Ray Mine Open Pit in Pinal County, Arizona several years ago and a rare specimen to find nowadays. Many individual crystals are developed to 2.5 cm tall and where their tops are broken, reveal a concentrically banded interior of alternating green, blue and turquoise. Secondary overgrowths of micro-spherical Chrysocolla coat the pseudomorphs to produce interesting surface textures. A most aesthetic specimen.
