This cabinet specimen comes with an R.W. Barstow white label, indicating it was in his personal collection. It reads 'From a narrow vein close to the contact of the greenstone & Killas. Southwest end of Greystone Quarry, Lezant, Cornwall'. It was collected by Dick Barstow in August 1981. Greenstone is a Cornish mining term for varieties of quartz-porphyry and Killas, describing metamorphic rocks of sedimentary origin.
