From the now world-famous Chinese occurrence of Spessartine garnet, this very large miniature, to smaller display specimen features the classic association of rich translucent orange, perfectly formed, rounded trapezohedral Spessartine garnet crystals as individuals and small groups sat upon cream coloured Microcline crystals on a thin layer of granitic matrix with a few translucent smoky-brown terminated Quartz crystals in association. The Spessartine crystals reach up to 4 mm in diameter but many are 1 to 2 mm across. The Smoky Quartz crystals show a partial, thin, outer grey-white skin, or film which is quite different to other crystals seen from this locality.
