Calcite with Phantoms from Mexico, San Luis Potosí, Charcas
JN
Kaneohe, Hawaii, United States
This is an unusual group of calcite crystals with dark phantoms. It appears that hematite coated a previous generation of dogtooth calcite. The calcite is fluorescent under UV light and the bottom half under the phantom is phosphorescent. This is from a one time find at the Aurora Mine in Charcas around 5 years ago.
