Aurichalcite, 12 cm, from the 79 mine, Gila County, Arizona; this is the best piece from the most famous pocket, collected in 1971, and it is still probably the finest known example of the species. It was sitting in there loose, and I just lifted it out, along with another two flats of specimens. I sold it to Tom McKee for $150 (a lot for a college student in those days) and it is now in the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum.
