Mbladen, in Morocco has become famous among mineral collectors for producing what are easily the finest vanadinite specimens in the world. This 6.4 cm example stands out among a crowd of fine specimens on the market from Mbladen with unusually good color and bright luster. On top of that, the specimen has a sculptural quality with two groups of “normal” vanadinite crystals separated by a “bridge” of small crystals all oriented to one another. The result is a specimen that is not only beautiful, but will also inspire your mind to try to understand its unusual crystallography!
