Vanadinite reaches its pinnacle at the Mbladen locality in Morocco. Specimens like this 5.6 cm example are the finest in the world. Although good ones are fairly plentiful on the market, truly great specimens like this are still not easy to find. What makes this one great? Well, this specimen sports unusually large (even for Mbladen) crystals of vanadinite with particularly rich color and about as bright of a luster as one could possibly imagine.
