Tucson, Arizona, USABou Bekker near Touissit, Jerada Province, Oriental Region, Morocco is famous for what are probably the most intensely coloured gemmy Anglesite crystals ever seen. This area started producing exceptional Anglesite specimens during the 1980s and continued during the 1990s but has provided little during the 21st century. This intensely coloured aggregate of large (up to 3 cm in length) bladed crystals probably dates to pre-2000. The whole specimen appears to be Anglesite: from massive layered grey Anglesite along the base, to sharp, glassy, vivid yellow-tipped crystals above. The main crystals are extremely glassy and well-formed, particularly front-on and from above but do show slight distortion in growth along the rear where they grow out from the more massive, inclusion-rich Anglesite. Very minor chipping is seen to the tips of the crystals, but has a negligible impact on the beauty of this stunningly rare form of Anglesite. It comes with a custom-made stand for display.
