A large, cabinet size plate, richly covered with well-formed freestanding sapphire-blue Benitoite crystals, minor white Natrolite and a few black, fragmentary prismatic Neptunite crystals. Several of the Benitoite crystals reach 15 mm across and most are larger than 10 mm in size. The colour of the crystals varies from deep sapphire-blue to almost white, with notable colour zonation in some of the crystals. Some internal fracturing is apparent within some of the crystals, but their size is excellent. This is a significant and substantial display Benitoite specimen from the Type Locality, and premier locality for the species.
