When you have such a stunning locality as Sa Duchessa mine nearby it is impossible to compete with its quality of intense blue Hemimorphite. This cabinet-sized plate of pale blue-grey finely crystallized Hemimorphite is from Iglesias, the main town six miles south of Sa Duchessa mine and simply presents a different form. It is richly covered in Hemimorphite which forms a multitude of veinlets cutting through a gossanous matrix. Not precisely located, there might be a Sardinian specialist out there who could fine-tune this. Ex David Hardman collection.
