Blue crystallized aragonite with little attached matrix. In good condition.Wenshan, located in the southeastern part of Yunnan Province, China, is renowned for its complex geology and rich mineral resources, particularly its significant deposits of manganese, antimony, and non-ferrous metals hosted within carbonate and sedimentary rock sequences of the Paleozoic and Mesozoic eras. Tectonically, the region is shaped by intense folding and faulting associated with the convergence of major regional structural belts, which created favorable pathways for hydrothermal activity and ore deposition. Historically, mining in Wenshan evolved from small-scale traditional workings into an important regional industrial hub for mineral extraction, while the area is also globally celebrated for its agricultural heritage as a primary cultivation center for the traditional medicinal herb Panax notoginseng.
