The signature Itinga-Jenipapo habit is star-twinned muscovite: intergrown, bladed mica crystals forming sharp, radiating, pseudohexagonal to star-like groups. Dealer and collection records describe them as golden, vivid yellow, yellow-green, silvery with yellow tints, and occasionally greenish to white. Quartz is also common; at Murundu, quartz and muscovite are closely associated and may be partly coated by zanazziite. Collectors look for star geometry, complete points, a balanced mound or fan of blades, translucency, lively luster, and a warm natural yellow to yellow-green color. The contrast with white albite can elevate a specimen substantially. Clean, undamaged tips are especially important because the star habit depends on outline; even small bends and missing corners can break the visual rhythm.
