Who says size doesn't matter? This flat, sheet-like, somewhat dendritic mass of metallic Native Copper makes a great visual display of how impressive the Native Copper from Michigan looks. It is from Quincy mine which has produced some of the world's finest crystallized Native Copper specimens. The form presented here in this very large display specimen is not individual blocky crystals, but a compact layer which formed along a thin joint within host rock (which has long since been removed). Spectacular in its own right, this type of Native Copper is almost artistic in its natural form. Ex David Hardman Collection.
