A 4 x 2.8 x 1.8 cm crystal of GEM transparent topaz, just perfectly perched atop a matrix of feldspar, as if about to jump off! We could not decide how we favored the display here, as a horizontal piece looking straight on into the topaz at its widest vertical face; or as a vertical piece with the topaz atop, about to jump off, so you look down the long (C) axis of the crystal. The contrast of color and texture is good, but the perch and contrast of geometry is what makes this special. From 2024 finds, just an exceptional specimen in composition. No repairs. As a final note, the topaz is doubly-terminated, tapering to a termination on bottom as well.
