Specimens from the Isle of Man are exceedingly uncommon. The Great Laxey operated for over 150 years with the last significant production taking place in the 1920’s. This specimen is on par with the best chalcopyrite’s produced from this locality. The iconic water wheel at the mine used to run a cornish pump to dewater the mine is over 70 feet tall making it one of the largest of its kind in the world and now considered a historic landmark. This specimen represents a unique part of mining history. Ex. Mel Bersch
