Beautifully presented near the peak of a light-grey, bladed Muscovite matrix is a sharply-formed, pseudo-octahedral Scheelite crystal that reaches a robust 5.2 centimeters across the edge. Characteristic amongst the Chinese Scheelites, the crystal has a striking amber-orange color and is translucent with small pockets of transparency behind the crystal's corners. The Scheelite is complete all around with a dramatic, glassy luster and a subtle accent of isolated microcrystals on the front-most crystal faces. Minor associations of what is presumed to be Apatite are scattered across the matrix, adding an additional contrast to the specimen. Under shortwave UV light, the Scheelite strongly fluoresces a bluish white color. This piece comes with a custom acrylic base.
