Dundasite is a relatively rare secondary lead mineral, named after its type locality on the island of Tasmania, where it was discovered in 1893. Since the late 19th century, this mineral has been discovered in several countries around the globe, but Dundas remains the best representative locality for the species, especially for examples on the macro scale. Here it forms as beautifully snowy botryoides, depositing over thickly coated (most likely by Limonite, which is the typical matrix material at the Adelaide Mine) Crocoite crystals, with only hints of the neon vermillion color popping through. This specimen comes with a custom acrylic base.
