Diaspore from this location is absolutely the best in the world! However, few GEM transparent crystals exist and have ever been found over 3 or 4 cm. This is not only a phenomenal gem crystal, but it is rare in that it is UNTWINNED when so many are twinned. It is exceptionally sharply terminated, and could be considered, for the size, one of the finer gem crystals of species. If it was a little smaller, a little less clean, a little less color, a little less lustrous...it would be less expensive. But this rare single crystal combines so many top qualities, and stands as one of the better such examples from modern era finds (found in 2023).
