Tucson, Arizona, USAA most unusual miniature of apricot orange and light chocolate brown Willemite crystals, many with inclusions of white Hydrozincite from the Tsumeb mine in the Oshikoto Region of Namibia. Covering a dark grey matrix of massive Dolomite mixed with a little Malachite, the Willemite forms an all-enveloping crystallised crust over the gently domed top surface. Individual trigonal crystals of 2 to 3 mm give the specimen a glassy lustre. Amongst the Willemite druse are several distinct cracks traversing the specimen, but these do not extend into the matrix. This surface is completely rigid and stable, with the cracks appearing to be a feature of the crystal depositional process. A lovey and rare specimen of Willemite with Hydrozincite from Tsumeb. Three previous labels accompany the specimen, one an interesting 'Mineral Kingdom of Woodmere' complete with crown motif!
