The beautiful plush velvet red Cuprite variety Chalcotrichite abundantly invests a cavity-rich crystallized Dolomite matrix on this colourful small cabinet-sized specimen from Tsumeb mine in Namibia. Fine, matted, web-like areas of inter-grown nets of acicular Chalcotrichite are seen covering extensive areas of the white Dolomite to 3.5 x 1.5 cm in extent. This uncommon variety of Cuprite is rarely seen upon a contrasting white matrix worldwide, making this type of specimen from Tsumeb quite distinctive. Ex Toni Collection.
