A beautiful classic from the famous ancient mining area of Banská Štiavnica (Schemnitz) in Slovakia. A 2.5 cm diameter pale cream coloured 'ball' of Calcite makes a striking addition to one end of of a thin, small cabinet-sized bed of brown, thinly Goethite-coated Quartz crystals. The Calcite shows no signs of damage or scuffing, and looks just like someone has dropped a scoop of vanilla ice-cream onto the Quartz crystals. The Quartz crystals are also in great condition, making for a really fine display piece.
