Golconda mine close to Brassington in Derbyshire is a classic British site for finely crystallized Hemimorphite - zinc silicate - with Sir Arthur Russell having collected there personally. This great small cabinet-sized specimen of this classic, features extremely gemmy, colourless, bladed micro-crystals of Hemimorphite forming drusy crusts of fan-like, to cog-wheel clustered aggregates completely covering mounds of creamy-white Baryte matrix. The specimen was collected from the East Flats on the 50 fathom level in the mine by John A. Jones in May 1986. A lovely Hemimorphite from Derbyshire in really fine overall condition. Ex John A. Jones Collection, no. 86030.
