A dazzling display of bright, metallic light golden Marcasite from the Cap Blanc-Nez Chalk cliffs, Nord-Pas-de-Calais, on the English Channel coast of northern France. Excellent Marcasite crystals form a stellate sphere of approximately 4 cm diameter, over grown by sparkling, sharply formed arrow-shaped micro-crystals. The stellate Marcasite ball sits on a small plinth of white-grey Chalk. Yes, we know it looks like mineral tack, but it is actually the natural matrix!.
