Attractive lustrous golden crystals of chalcopyrite to 0.7 cm in size aesthetically throughout a dolomite crystal covered direction matrix. Minor galena present. In super condition, this is crystallized completely all around with no points of attachment. The specimen comes with a previous label from the collection of Ray DeMark. The specimen was collected by Brian Huntsman in 1996.The Brushy Creek Mine is situated within the famous Mississippi Valley-type ore deposits of the Viburnum Trend in southeast Missouri, hosted primarily within Cambrian dolostone strata along ancient reef and carbonate facies. Commercial mining operations developed the region into a major global producer, while the underground workings and associated dumps became legendary among mineral collectors worldwide for yielding world-class crystal specimens.
