Dimensions: 6.1 x 4.2 x 3.8cm
Locality: Shangulowé mine, Kambove, territory, Haut Katanga, DR Congo
A recent discovery, extracted from Shangulowé, a locality already famous for the discoveries of 1997-2002 and the barite-malachite association.
The thick, tabular crystals display honey-colored edges and attractive green malachite phantoms. Highly structured, they are embedded in blue-green chrysocolla, which recrystallizes on the surface of the barite. These are very attractive specimens, creating striking and photogenic contrasts.
Few pieces available. This one is one of the prettiest.
