Attractive yellow green mostly gemmy lustrous terminated crystals of fluorapatite to 2.0 cm in height coming off matrix. Aesthetic and in good condition. The specimen comes with a previous label from the collection of Ray DeMark.Imilchil is a historic market town located in the High Atlas mountains of Morocco. The surrounding region has centuries of indigenous and modern mineral prospecting traditions tied to surrounding districts that developed significantly during the twentieth century. Geologically, the area is characterized by Mesozoic basinal sedimentation and Tertiary tectonic compression along the African-Eurasian collision front, featuring extensive carbonate strata and complex fold-belt formations that host notable lead, zinc, and vanadium mineralizations.
