This aesthetic cabinet‑grade calcite specimen exhibits a distinctive stacked pagoda‑tree habit, formed by successive generations of rhombohedral calcite overgrowth tapering elegantly to a sharp termination. The stepped crystal faces are well‑preserved with natural luster, forming a symmetrical pyramidal silhouette without artificial carving or polishing.
Collected from classic mining localities in Daye, Hubei, China. Manganese substitution within the calcite lattice produces vivid, saturated cherry‑red fluorescence under long‑wave ultraviolet light. The specimen appears milky off‑white under daylight and transforms dramatically into glowing crimson under UV excitation, a highly desirable feature for fluorescent mineral collections.
Condition: Natural specimen, intact crystal terminations with negligible minor contact marks, no repair, glue or restoration. An acrylic display base is included for stable presentation.
Provenance: Direct field collection from Daye mine workings. This distinctive tower‑shaped calcite aggregate has become increasingly scarce on the collector market as mining operations conclude. Suitable for cabinet display, private mineral collection and geological reference.
