Sharp twinned crystal of lustrous chabazite 1.5 cm in size standing up nicely from matrix. In excellent condition.Zlatolist, located within the Krumovgrad municipality of the Kardzhali Province in southern Bulgaria, is situated in the Eastern Rhodope Mountains, a region renowned for its complex Tertiary volcanic and tectonic history. Geologically, the area is dominated by Paleogene volcanic-sedimentary complexes and intrusive-hydrothermal systems associated with extensive caldera formation, which created favorable pathways for mineral-rich fluids. Mineralogically, the locality has gained recognition for producing fine zeolite group specimens, notably chabazite, a hydrous calcium aluminum silicate that typically forms attractive rhombohedral crystals within the cavities and vugs of altered volcanic host rocks.
