A sharp fluorite cube with infinite subtle phantoms in green and purple, graces a sparing matrix on this choice miniature from the famous Yaogangxian Mine in China. It is mesmerizing in person with deep symmetry within, and a stunning green color that is hard to convey here. Trimmed a bit, it could be made into a fantastic large thumbnail, but as is, a small miniature in size. The crystal is precisely 2 cm across on edge. Long in IKONS book author Wayne Thompson's personal collection of Miniatures/Thumbnails built with his daughter, Stevia, when she was young. Wayne loved this little jewel, for that is what it is, and (perhaps over-)paid $5000 according to his own catalog notes, just to have it. Laszlo Kupi photo.
