The Morro da Mina Mine has produced some of the finest deeply saturated red rhodonite crystals in the world. Although the mine has been in production for over 100 years it was only in the 2000's when these specimens began to appear on the market. This particular specimen is perched aesthetically on matrix, with a gemmy interior and a number of associated smaller crystals adjacent to it. Sharp edges and lustrous surfaces, a very quality example.
