Azurite, 5 cm, from the Boomerang mine, Gunpowder District, Queensland, Australia. These two azurite specimens were collected with about 500 others on the dumps of the mine (with permission from the mine owner, Julius Takacs of Mt. Isa) in August, 1972. The nodules occurred in kaolinite fault gauge and about three truckloads (45 tonnes) went through the Mt. Isa Smelter.
