Barite on quartz, 16 cm, from the Paquin Mining District, Ouray, Colorado. Collected in June 2001. The cavity in which this specimen was found extended more than 5 feet from the pocket entrance, necessitating an impromptu onsite fabrication of a long-distance tool to extricate it.
