This striking specimen features a grouping of large, lustrous, translucent blue barite crystals elegantly perched on dark hematite. The prominent crystals display sharp, well defined forms with very minimal damage, resulting in excellent overall presentation. Sourced from Frizington, England, a classic locality renowned for producing some of the country finest barite specimens, this piece exemplifies the color, form, and strong display quality for which the area is celebrated. Preserved with an antique label dating the specimen to the early 20th century, visible at the end of the video, it carries notable historical as well as aesthetic significance. An exceptional addition to any refined mineral collection.
