Calcite with Barite (1250)
Unknown Owner
A gem loose, amber colored, glassy double terminated calcite crystal from the famous Elmwood Mine, Tennessee, presented without matrix and in great condition. The crystal shows excellent transparency, rich warm color, and bright vitreous luster, with sharp terminations on both ends that make it especially desirable as a complete floater example. The Elmwood Mine is renowned for producing some of the finest calcite specimens in the United States, particularly in amber to honey tones, and well formed, undamaged double terminated crystals such as this are highly sought after by collectors.
