BARYTE
These large (both length and thickness) colourless to white translucent diamond shaped tabular Baryte crystals on Quartz matrix come from the famous late 1990s to very early 2000s discovery at Jinkouhe District in Leshan Prefecture, Sichuan Province, China. Not seen since, other than when collections get recycled, this type of crystal are actually quite distinctive. The crystals on this piece are in really great condition and reach up to 6 cm in length (or 4.6 cm on edge) and 2 cm thick. They are really glassy and bright and with their great density have a very weighty feel to them. Ex Martin Kershaw Collection.
