This sizable display specimen of crystallized Galena with Quartz from the Madan Ore Field, Rhodope Mountains, Bulgaria presents one of the unusual and distinctive habits for which the mines there are renowned. That is, extremely complex, almost skeletal, crystal forms combined with a very bright metallic lustre. One could spend a long time gazing upon this specimen, enjoying the complexity. At over 800 g in weight, this is a hefty piece, but that is because of how rich it is in Galena crystals. Specifically from Krushev Dol mine.
