Zoisite ("yellow Tanzanite")
Unknown Owner
A gemmy, transparent, tall miniature of the rare "yellow tanzanite" variety we sometimes see in the same mine that produces the more famous and more common blue tanzanite crystals. Yellow of this quality is 1 in 500, in terms of rarity. And at this size, there are relatively few larger examples, at least with such transparency. The crystal is complete, with only a few small bits of edge chatter. It glows in any light, no strong lighting needed. These have a unique yellow-greenish color to them and it is surprising that they occur in proximity to their blue cousins! 20 grams.
