Impressively sharp and textbook-formed 8mm, single crystal of grass-green adamite on matrix, with the single crystal rising like a small monolith from the dark, grey-brown surface. It has a classic, chisel-like, prismatic habit, and the translucent termination is lustrous and sharp. Green adamite is uncommon, and usually given its color by traces of copper, though MINDAT has struck this "cuprian adamite" variety from the mineral list for Tsumeb, noting it should be called simply adamite (for now). An old piece, 1970s-1980s. Dr. Erika Pohl-Ströher - 39104
