This is a very rich thumbnail of Veszelyite for those wishing to possess a fine smaller example from the recent stunning finds at Sanguozhuang Pb-Zn mine, Sanguozhuang, Dongchuan District, Kunming, Yunnan, China which are now considered to represent the world's finest specimens of Veszelyite - copper zinc phosphate hydrate hydroxide. This thumbnail presents the classic microbotryoidal white to grey Hemimorphite matrix with a liberal coverage of electric blue Veszelyite crystal sprays with a fine resinous to greasy lustre. The Veszelyite forms tightly clustered aggregates of bladed crystals producing fan-like sprays. The sprays reach 4 mm, with many aggregated together, but around the edges of the specimen they are scattered, allowing some of the greyish Hemimorphite to form a backdrop to the spectacularly colourful and lustrous Veszelyite crystals.
