The aquamarine presented here comes from the renowned Medina region of the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais. This area is known worldwide for its exceptional pegmatite deposits, which have produced some of the finest aquamarine crystals. The Medina mine, where this specimen was found, is particularly known for its clear, intensely colored and aesthetically pleasing aquamarines.

Crystal structure and aesthetics

This aquamarine floater is well crystaliced all around with its impressive aesthetics and lively crystal structure. The prismatic shape of the crystal is accentuated by numerous surfaces that reflect the light in a fascinating way and give the piece a lively radiance. The natural transparency of the mineral underlines the quality of the crystal.

Coloring and play of light

The color of this aquamarine is an intense yet delicate sea blue with a hint of green. This characteristic coloration is typical of aquamarines from the Medina region. Under different lighting conditions, the crystal displays a remarkable pleochroism: depending on the viewing angle and light source, the depth of color varies from a soft sky blue to a rich turquoise.

Custom-made base - presentation to perfection

We made a custom-made base in-house to present this extraordinary mineral in the best possible way. This high-quality base was specially designed to match the shape and size of the crystal in order to emphasize its aesthetics while ensuring stability. The understated design of the base does not distract from the crystal but enhances its natural beauty and makes it an eye-catcher in any collection or display.
