Pyromorphite
This is an excellent cabinet-sized Pyromorphite specimen from the Bunker Hill Mine that hosts a wide selection of sizable, hexagonal crystals that have a subtle curvature along the prismatic faces. While many of the smaller crystals along the matrix have a brown color, the larger Pyromorphites have a brighter yellow hue that stands out nicely against the rest of the specimen. Handfuls of these larger crystals have small but well-defined hoppered features that accent nicely with Pyromorphite's luster. It's surprising that the Pyromorphite specimens from Bunker Hill-considered to be some of the best in the world-were almost lost to the mills, and would have been were it not for the processing methods of the time being considered uneconomical. This piece comes with a custom acrylic base.
