An attractive and very choice example for the species not often seen available from Morocco. Attractive yellow green prismatic lustrous crystals of pyromorphite measuring to 0.7 cm in size are scattered attractively across the front of a goethite matrix. This is in great condition. The specimen comes with a previous label from the collection of Jan Erik Larsen and dates to 2015.Situated in the Khenifra Region within Morocco's Middle Atlas belt, the Bou Iboulkhir Mine lies in a geologically rich vein domain characterized by hydrothermal mineral deposits hosted within altered sedimentary and igneous formations. Historically worked as an lead-zinc mining operation, the site has gained international fame among mineral collectors for producing exceptional pyromorphite specimens. Small-scale mining and collecting efforts at Bou Iboulkhir have yielded vivid yellow-green to olive-green pyromorphite crystals, often featuring sharp hexagonal prisms, lustrous surfaces, and intricate skeletal growth patterns on matrix.
