It is plain that Kennedy's primary focus in his collection was the acquisition of specimens that are both massive in scale, and exceptional for the species. This specimen is undoubtedly one of the largest Ferberite specimens to be discovered from the Tazna Mine. Showing little to no matrix, each side of this piece presents immense, well-formed, blocky Ferberite crystals that reach up to a staggering 21.8 centimeters in length; the largest of these crystals acts as an inclined backdrop for the specimen. Every crystal is complete all around, showing a metallic grey color and luster. Some of the smaller crystals are accented with striations. All together, the specimen weighs a hefty 17,237 grams (~38 pounds). This piece comes with a custom acrylic base.
