Covering the top side of a thick, plate-like matrix is a layer of highly lustrous and water-clear Quartz that is subsequently covered in large, glittering swathes of rich emerald-green Dioptase crystals; if you look more closely, most of the Quartz is terminated and included with either subtle wisps of smoky-grey phantoms or bright blue inclusions of Plancheite. The Dioptase crystals (reaching up to 1.6 centimeters) are extremely flashy, doubly terminated across the board, and have a gemlike quality that intensifies its already deep color. This large Dioptase plate is textural and complex. This specimen comes with a custom acrylic base.
