Tanzanite is a blue to violet variety of zoisite discovered in 1967 in Tanzania. It is often found in the form of a transparent gem. It has the same chemical formula as zoisite Ca2(Al.OH)Al2(SiO4)3 but with more obvious traces of vanadium.

This mineral is remarkable because of its strong trichroism, presenting, depending on the orientation of the crystal, flashes of sapphire blue, violet, or burgundy red color. Most tanzanites on the market have undergone heat treatment to obtain or maintain their colors.

Possible shipping method (all with tracking): Colissimo delivery against signature, Delivengo, Lettre suivi, Mondial Relay Point Relay, Mondial Relay domicile.
