Liroconite
Liroconite specimens of any size overall, combined with quality and without significant damage issues, is one of those holy grails of mineral collecting: and have been so since their discovery in the early 1800s. This actually is a large display-quality specimen and of ridiculous richness, in terms of how much color we get. This is an important specimen with bright crystals of two shades of intense blue representing different generations of growth, all over it (to 5mm). It comes from an old collection of Beignat Miclich-Hofer, and was on display in the Natural History Museum of Salzburg, Austria. It was exchanged out in 1977 to Dr. Werner Paar, our friend and a well known mineral collector and researcher as well. Such old treasures are 200 years old, and nearly priceless; and are generally impossible to obtain. We can display this horizontally or also vertically, on a custom lucite base, to equal display impact.
