Sanidine$3,000.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
Measuring 2.6 x 1.9 x 1.0 cm , this gemmy and highly naturally etched Sanidine crystal is between a large thumbnail and small miniature, the choice is yours to make. The ancient village of Itrongay lies in the far southern region of Madagascar within the Betroka District of Anosy. Sanidine is a high temperature variety of potassium feldspar and at this location occurs as attractive yellow crystals caused by Fe3+ substituting for Al3+. The natural etch patterns all over this specimen's surface is beautiful and reminiscent of heliodors from the Ukraine. The specimen is mounted vertically on a small, square acrylic base.
