Zircon

A single, off-matrix, opaque, pink-beige crystal of Zircon from the Goiás province in Brazil. The crystal is a good size - 2.4 cm long - complete all round, and displays twinning at one end. A naturally rehealed fracture, or veinlet, crosses the centre of the crystal. It is not often that Zircons are seen from this part of Brazil and this one has great shape to it.
